A starting point, not a label.
The spiritual abuse page considers faith, authority, fear and participation. The ideological influence page focuses on pressures around commitment and disagreement. The conspiracy page considers situations in which claims and communities are affecting everyday life or relationships.
These are routes into a conversation, not categories used to diagnose a person. Unconventional beliefs, religious practice, activism or disagreement do not by themselves establish harm or a need for treatment.
Our work is with your experience, choices and relationships. We do not offer political persuasion, judgements about which teachings are correct or a programme to replace your beliefs. Concerns about threats or violence require appropriate specialist assessment, not a conclusion drawn from a worldview.
