When closeness leaves little room for you.

Support with controlling or coercive relationships.

You may be trying to understand a partner’s behaviour, find more room within your family, or work through the effects of a relationship that has ended. We start with what is happening in your life, not a diagnosis of someone else.

You do not have to decide whether to stay or leave before enquiring.

Counselling

Coercive control

Support for making sense of restrictions, pressure and fear in a relationship — and what is realistically possible in your circumstances.

You can seek support while still involved. A decision to leave is not a condition of care.

Counselling

Narcissistic abuse

Support when a relationship has left you questioning your perceptions, needs or right to make choices — including experiences you understand as narcissistic abuse.

You do not need to prove that someone is a narcissist for harmful treatment to matter.

Counselling

Controlling family dynamics

Counselling around controlling family dynamics, conditional belonging and difficult boundaries. Support with your own experience, decisions and relationships.

You can value your family and still question an arrangement.

What this service can offer

A starting point, not a label.

A partner, parent or relative can be important to you and also be part of a difficult or harmful arrangement. The question is not simply whether you depend on them. We look at what happens when you disagree, make your own decisions or seek support elsewhere.

Choose the page closest to your concern. Coercive control focuses on repeated restrictions and safety; narcissistic abuse is a familiar term some people use for their experience; the family page considers loyalty, care and adult decision-making. These descriptions can overlap.

Counselling is not couples mediation, a legal assessment or an emergency response. Where domestic or family violence is involved, specialist safety support may need to come first or work alongside counselling.

A first conversation

Start with a brief enquiry.

A few lines about what brings you here is enough. Please avoid detailed sensitive information in the enquiry form.

If your needs appear to fit our services, we’ll arrange a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss whether we can help and what could happen next. This is an initial conversation, not a counselling session. We clarify the format, availability and fees before booking.
