Digital influence · Sydney & online

Find room beyond the feed.

Support when online involvement is becoming difficult to step back from.

A feed, creator or online community may be taking up more of your attention and shaping more of your decisions than you intended. You may be unsure what you want to keep, question or change.

Online involvement is not, by itself, a problem or a diagnosis.

Counselling

Online radicalisation concerns

Counselling around online radicalisation concerns, pressure and changing involvement. We explore your experience without assuming a feed caused it or prescribing beliefs.

The concern is your room to think and choose, not simply how much time you spend online.

Counselling

Online communities & influencers

Counselling around difficult involvement with online communities, creators and influencers. Explore trust, belonging, boundaries and choices without judging online life itself.

Connection online can be meaningful. You are still allowed to set limits.

What this service can offer

A starting point, not a label.

Online life can offer connection, learning and genuine support. We are interested in the parts that have become difficult for you: pressure from a community, relying heavily on one creator’s views, or finding it hard to use information and relationships outside that environment.

The eSafety Commissioner explains how recommender systems shape what appears in a feed. That does not establish what caused a particular person’s beliefs or behaviour. We consider the person, relationships and wider circumstances alongside the technology.

Online radicalisation concerns and difficulties with communities or influencers have separate pages below. Algorithms, echo chambers and parasocial influence are addressed within those pages, not presented as diagnoses in their own right.

TEC offers counselling and consultation within an agreed scope, not platform forensics, device security work, addiction treatment or a specialist violent-extremism programme. Work involving a child or adolescent requires separate suitability and consent arrangements; TEC does not advertise a specialist youth service.

A first conversation

Start with a brief enquiry.

A few lines about what brings you here is enough. Please avoid detailed sensitive information in the enquiry form.

If your needs appear to fit our services, we’ll arrange a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss whether we can help and what could happen next. This is an initial conversation, not a counselling session. We clarify the format, availability and fees before booking.
